Volunteering New Zealand has also created a super handy resource for anyone working with volunteers - The Best Practice Guidelines. Covering the whole volunteer journey, from recruitment and onboarding through to training, recognition, and exit, they give clear, practical tips on “what good looks like” and how to strengthen your volunteer programme. Developed with input from hundreds of volunteers and community leaders, the guidelines are easy to use, adaptable for any group, and designed to make volunteering a better experience for everyone.
