Constitution Builder Group Session
Is your constitution fit for purpose?
The Incorporated Societies Act 2022 came into effect on 5 October 2023. Existing societies must reregister under this new Act before April 2026 to remain on the register. If you don’t your society will cease to exist, which can have significant impacts on your funding and operations.
To reregister, you'll need to make sure your constitution complies with the 2022 Act, so it's a good time to think about how your organisations runs and whether your rules and processes are fit for purpose. If you haven't done this already, don't worry, it's not too late and huddl will be running a series of workshops around Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago to help out with our next one in Cromwell.
We encourage you to bring your laptop and current constitution, and we can work together on drafting your new constitution using the New Zealand Companies Office Incorporated Societies Constitution Builder in a small group setting to you get started. If you aren’t ready to draft your constitution but would like to attend, listen, and ask questions, you are more than welcome!
Date: Wednesday 4 December
